The Birthing Rock.

Local legend has it that the Aboriginals of the Wurundjeri visited the Rock during the Summer months located below the Olinda Golf courses.  Apparently this Rock had a small cave system underneath but with the oncoming of White man the cave system was covered over.  It is thought that bones of these early people may still lay there buried beneath the Great Rock of the Dandenong's.

Below the Birthing Rock there was a conjunction of the Five creeks where it is rumoured that a Quartz stone stood erected by these ancient peoples of this area at the centre of this 5 creek conjunction.

Dam Creek I was told could be a remnant where once this 5 creek conjunction occurred but there are many candidates.

Dam Creek
